Based on chapter two of

’s fanfic, Book Air [link] in which Korra goes back to the past to deal with Noatak. The figure in the sky is Korra and she's falling really fast (because of time traveling).

I really like this fic. This is how Korra should have gotten her bending back, not backed-up on an external spiritual harddrive or something... And it has Noatak too, which is good.

OMG, I totally agree about how lousy it was that the creators chose to go about getting Korra's bending back, it's just another one of those Deus ex machina moments the Avatar series have, but at least Energy Bending was a more tactful way to getting out of their last corner. I think it was just because the season was already pretty much done with a large part of its production by the time they got the green light for a second (2nd) season. =\

Yeah I heard about the greenlit part too :/ twelve episodes is too short for anything though. Each season in ATLA was at least 20. But ah oh well :\
